Often referred to as <strong>&#8220;Little Venice,&#8221;<\/strong> it delights with its water canals, white buildings and lush vegetation. It&#8217;s the perfect place for a leisurely stroll, a romantic dinner and relaxing by the ocean.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where is Puerto de Mog\u00e1n located?<\/h2>\n\n<p>Puerto de Mog\u00e1n is located on the <strong>southwestern coast of Gran Canaria<\/strong>, in the municipality of Mog\u00e1n. The town is sheltered by mountains, making for an exceptionally mild climate and very good weather all year round. Thanks to its location and terrain, it is the warmest place in Gran Canaria. Getting to Puerto de Mogan takes from popular resorts:   <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maspalomas &#8211; about 25 minutes drive <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Puerto Rico &#8211; about 15 minutes <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Las Palmas &#8211; about 1 hour <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>You can visit Puerto de Mogan on a roundtrip tour with a Polish guide (check out the details \ud83d\udc49 <a href=\"https:\/\/olecanarias.com\/shop\/gran-canaria\/gran-canaria-wycieczka-po-polsku\/\">here<\/a>), as well as see many other beautiful places in Gran Canaria.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why is Puerto de Mog\u00e1n called the Venice of Gran Canaria?<\/h2>\n\n<p>The nickname is not accidental. In the port part of the town there are: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>artificial <strong>water channels<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>bridges<\/strong> over water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Boats moored right next to houses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>All this surrounded by colorful Bougainvillea flowers. The whole creates a unique, romantic atmosphere that sets Puerto de Mog\u00e1n apart from other places on the island.   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Puerto de Mog\u00e1n&#8217;s top attractions<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Marina and canals<\/h3>\n\n<p>This is the most characteristic part of the town. An ideal place for photos and quiet walks among the white houses decorated with Bougainvillea. It&#8217;s worth stopping for a while or sitting in a nearby cafe to observe the quiet harbor life.  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Playa de Mog\u00e1n<\/h3>\n\n<p>The beach in Puerto de Mog\u00e1n is sandy with light, fine sand. It is ideal for families with children, as it is sheltered by breakwaters. The calm water is conducive to swimming and snorkeling.  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Friday Market (Mercadillo)<\/h3>\n\n<p>Every <strong>Friday<\/strong>, one of the most famous markets in Gran Canaria is held here. You can buy: local products, souvenirs, handicrafts, clothes and jewelry. This is the best day to visit, although it is also the most crowded.  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Waterfront restaurants<\/h3>\n\n<p>Puerto de Mog\u00e1n is famous for its restaurants serving fresh fish and seafood, typical Canarian cuisine and Mediterranean dishes.
