Playa de La Aldea<\/strong> is one of the most authentic and least touristy beaches in Gran Canaria. It is located on the west coast of the island, in the village of La Aldea de San Nicol\u00e1s<\/strong>, which is famous for its fishing traditions, spectacular scenery and a unique local festival, the Fiesta del Charco<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want to see Gran Canaria beyond the hotel resorts and tourist crowds, this is where you’ll discover one of the most authentic parts of the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where is Playa de La Aldea located<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The beach is located in the west of the island, about 90 km from southern resorts such as Maspalomas<\/strong> and Puerto Rico de Gran Canaria<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The area is much less urbanized than the south of Gran Canaria. The road leading to the town leads through spectacular mountains and cliffs, making the trip itself one of the biggest attractions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
