Skydiving

Meeting point The meeting point is the Anexo II shopping centre in Playa del Inglés. After the briefing you transfer from there to the airfield.
A tandem skydive with an instructor from around 3,000 metres, with no licence and no experience needed. Roughly 40 seconds of freefall, then a few minutes under canopy and a landing on the Maspalomas dunes.
The briefing is given before the jump; if you need it in Polish, add a note to your booking.

About this experience

A tandem jump is the simplest way to leave a plane without years of training. You are attached to an instructor who runs the whole jump, which leaves you one job: to look. No licence and no experience are required.

How the jump works

You start at the office in Playa del Inglés, where you sign the paperwork needed for the jump. Your instructor then gives the briefing and helps you into the harness that keeps you attached to him for the whole flight.

From there you transfer to the airfield where the plane takes off. The climb to around 3,000 metres is the point at which most people stop talking. From up there you see the whole south of Gran Canaria, from the mountains to the ocean line.

The jump itself has two very different halves. The freefall lasts 30 to 40 seconds and is loud, fast and over before you can process it. Once the parachute opens it goes quiet and you still have 5 to 7 minutes of calm flight, which is when you can actually take in the island.

You land on the Maspalomas dunes, one of the most recognisable places in Gran Canaria. It is a rare case where the landing spot is an attraction in its own right.

Who this is for (and who it is not)

It is open to anyone aged 9 and over who wants to find out once what this feels like. You do not need to be fit or skilled, because in a tandem the instructor does the work.

If you have any medical conditions, add them in the notes when booking. Minors may only jump with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian, signed on site, so the guardian has to be there with you on the day.

Practical information

The meeting point is the Anexo II shopping centre in Playa del Inglés. The jump costs 299 euros per person, of which 130 euros is paid when booking and the rest on site by card or in cash. Anyone weighing over 90 kg pays a 50 euro supplement.

Photos and video are charged separately: a photo set or a video set costs 99 euros, and photos together with video cost 149 euros. It is worth deciding before the jump, because there is no way to film it yourself afterwards.

In the booking notes, please give your date of birth and weight, as they determine which instructor you are paired with. Cancellation is free up to 72 hours before the start with a 100% refund.

If you would rather have the briefing in Polish, say so in the booking notes.
