About this experience

This property sits at around 1,400 metres above sea level, roughly 30 minutes’ drive from Costa Adeje. You sleep in a Canarian cave cut into the rock, or in a barrel that once held Asturian cider, and step out in the morning to views over the valley and the Atlantic Ocean. Stays can be booked from a single night.

Where exactly you sleep

Asturian cider barrels, from 160 euro a night. Two stylish double bedrooms built inside genuine barrels, with panoramic views over the valley and the ocean.

Traditional Canarian caves, the cuevas. Two fully equipped caves with a bathroom, shower, air conditioning and rustic decor. One of them has a fireplace.

The Amapola barrel, from 180 euro a night. A private double barrel with a wood-fired hot tub set out under open sky among ancient Canarian pines. It has a full bathroom, a kitchen and a living area.

What is on site

The grounds hold a hot tub and a wooden sauna, gardens, a wine cave and a pool. The pool is open-air and unheated, between 17 and 26 degrees, so in winter and spring a swim is genuinely bracing.

Every unit has a kitchen, and there is a barbecue and bathrooms with hot water. Add free Wi-Fi and private parking. At this altitude, above the cloud line, evenings can be cool and the night sky is noticeably darker than on the coast.

Trails run around the property, suitable for hiking, mountain biking, road cycling or a walk before breakfast.

Who it suits

It works best for couples and for occasions such as anniversaries or engagements. The property can host 12 people in total, so it also works for a group of friends or a family travelling together. If you want everything within reach and prefer to end the evening in a resort centre, this location will not suit you. A car is effectively essential here.

Practical details

Check-in is from 13:00 and check-out by 11:00. There is a fully equipped kitchen on site but no shop, so bring your food and charcoal for the barbecue with you. The sauna is charged separately.

Availability and pricing are confirmed individually. Write through the contact form or call, on WhatsApp too, on +34 643 799 708. You can cancel free of charge up to 72 hours before the start with a full refund.

If you are after one night that steps outside the standard beach hotel, this is it. Message us and we will check the free dates.
