Luxury catamaran cruise with VIP dolphin watching
About this experience
This cruise is for people who would rather not share a big boat with a crowd. The small catamaran carries a maximum of 24 guests, sails from Puerto Colon and spends three hours looking for dolphins and pilot whales along the south coast of Tenerife. There is a swim stop on the way and full service with snacks and drinks.
How the cruise works
You sail from Puerto Colon in the south of the island. If you are staying in Costa Adeje, Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos, we collect you from your hotel free of charge. The exact time and meeting point follow once your ticket is booked.
The cruise goes looking for pilot whales and dolphins, which live in these temperate waters and feed on giant squid. Larger whales pass along the same stretch of coast from time to time, as do turtles. These are wild animals in their natural habitat, so no sighting is promised in advance.
After the watching, the catamaran anchors in a bay. You can swim in the ocean, take a mask and snorkel, or stay on board. Meanwhile the crew serves fruit, snacks, tapas and drinks, including alcohol.
The rest of the cruise is yours: a lounger on the sun deck, the captain’s bridge, or a shaded spot. The crew keeps an eye on the weather throughout.
Who it suits
This suits couples, small groups and families who prefer an intimate deck to a large boat with entertainment programmes. It also works as a calm day between busier island trips. If you are after a party boat or the cheapest mass-market option, this is not it, because the whole point here is the small group and the service.
Practical details
The cruise lasts 3 hours and sails from Puerto Colon daily. Your ticket with the details, time and meeting point arrives within 24 hours of booking, and the electronic version is enough. Minors sail only with the consent of an adult.
You can cancel free of charge up to 72 hours before the start and receive a full refund. Extras offered on site by the operator, such as photos, are paid locally.
Want the catamaran to yourselves? A private charter for up to 24 people is available, so send us a message and we will sort out the details.
