Private cruise on a sports yacht max 10 people
About this experience
Private means the boat is yours. No sharing with a coach party, no microphone and no fixed script. The sports yacht leaves the port of Puerto Rico and runs along the south coast of Gran Canaria.
How the cruise works
You board the Sunseeker Tomahawk 41, a 13-metre boat built for speed and comfort. The yacht cruises at an average of 9 to 10 knots, so the coastline passes quickly, and there is room on deck simply to sit and watch it go by.
The route follows the cliff coast of the southern part of the island, past coves you cannot reach by land. Then comes the stop for the water part of the day: swimming, jumping in and snorkelling. Masks and snorkels are on board, so there is nothing to bring.
The crew also sets out the floating solarium, a place to lie just above the water, and prepares fresh snacks. Drinks are available throughout and unlimited: water, soft drinks, beer and sangría.
If you want more, extra activities are available during the cruise for an additional fee: jet ski, crazy sofa and parasailing. The cruise ends where it began, at the port of Puerto Rico.
Who this is for (and who it is not)
It suits groups of up to 10: families, groups of friends, couples marking something important. It works when you care about quiet and your own pace rather than the lowest price per person.
If you are looking for the cheapest way to get out on the water, or you enjoy a bigger crowd and music on deck, a catamaran cruise is the better pick. Here you are paying for having the boat to yourselves.
