About this experience
One day to drive right around Gran Canaria: the south, the west and the north. We pick you up from your hotel in Las Palmas, or from the port if you are on the island for a single day off a cruise ship. The tour is guided in Polish.
What you see along the way
The first stop is the Maspalomas dunes. Kilometres of sand running straight down to the ocean look like a piece of the Sahara attached to a resort, and this is where most people take their first photos.
Next comes Puerto de Mogán, known as the Canarian Venice. Canals, small bridges, whitewashed houses and bougainvillea on the walls. There is free time here for a walk, a coffee or souvenirs, so you are not looking at it through a coach window.
The western stretch is the rawest part of the route. We stop at Los Azulejos, rocks streaked green, turquoise and rust by the minerals in the volcanic stone. Then comes Mirador del Balcón, where the cliffs drop vertically into the ocean and, on a clear day, Tenerife is visible on the horizon.
The day ends in the green north, in the Agaete valley, home to the only commercial coffee plantation in Europe. We walk through the plantation and sit down to a tasting of local products served as tapas, which is a far better ending than one more viewpoint.

It is a good choice if you are short on time and want to see the different sides of the island in one day. It also works for cruise passengers, since we collect you straight from the port in Las Palmas. The tour suits travellers of any age.
If you would rather spend the whole day in one place, or you do not travel well on winding mountain roads, consider something shorter. This is a round-island drive, so a fair share of the day is spent between stops.

Pickup in Las Palmas
We pick you up from your hotel, nearby or from the port between 8:00 and 8:45. Then we head to the south of the island.
Maspalomas Dunes
The first stop is at the golden dunes running down to the ocean. Time for photos and a first walk on the sand.
Puerto de Mogán
The Venice of the Canaries, with canals and colourful houses. Free time for a walk, a coffee or souvenirs.
Los Azulejos
A stop at the multicoloured rocks with green and rusty stripes, which come from the mineral make-up of the volcanic rock.
Mirador del Balcón
A viewpoint on the west coast where the cliffs fall vertically into the ocean.
Agaete coffee plantation
A walk through the only commercial coffee plantation in Europe and a tasting of local products served as tapas.
