Private VIP tour (8 people) with a Polish-speaking guide - Anaga + the north
About this experience
A private tour of the north of the island for a maximum of 8 people. It is just your group, with no strangers on board and no waiting for latecomers. The guide works in Polish and adapts the pace and the order of stops to whatever interests you.
What the route covers
The day starts in La Laguna, the island’s former capital, listed by UNESCO in 1999. At the local market you see how many potato varieties the Canary Islands actually grow, and your guide explains where the town’s grid of streets came from.
Next comes the El Mercedes laurel forest in the Anaga mountains. The walk starts at Cruz del Carmen, where a viewpoint opens up the surroundings in every direction. The vegetation stays green all year because the forest feeds on moisture from the clouds.
Then you drop down to the ocean: Playa del Roque de las Bodegas, once known for exporting local wine, and Playa Benijo, looking out at the cliffs and the Roques de Anaga. The restaurant there serves seafood, which makes it the natural place to pause.
Finally the route crosses the Anaga mountains southwards to Las Teresitas beach, whose sand was shipped in from the Sahara. You can walk, swim or have a coffee on the terrace. The day ends with a drive past Santa Cruz and its huge port, then back to the hotel on the motorway.
Who this is for, and who it is not
It suits families and groups of friends who would rather spend a day among themselves than on a coach with fifty other people. It also works when there are children in the group, or anyone who does not want to walk at a stranger’s pace.
This is not the cheap option and it is not a beach day. The day is long and the road through Anaga is full of bends, so bear that in mind if you do not travel well on winding roads.
Practical information
Transport runs from your hotel and back, wherever on the island it is. Pick-up takes place between 7:30 and 9:00 and the return is planned for 16:00 to 17:00. Write your hotel name in the order notes and your ticket, with the exact time and meeting point, follows within 24 hours.
Lunch is not included. You can eat at a local restaurant along the way or bring your own snacks. The exact date is confirmed after booking, so mark the date that suits you on the form. Cancellation is free up to 72 hours before the start, with a 100 percent refund.
If you want to reorder the stops or add a place of your own, message us before the day.
