About this experience

About this attraction

Teide National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most extraordinary places in the Canary Islands. Vast lava fields, solidified volcanic formations and the mountain peaks that contrast with them create a landscape that is hard to find anywhere else.

The highlight of the tour is Roques de García, distinctive rock formations shaped by volcanic activity and erosion. The area is striking for its variety of shapes, colours and textures, and during the walk you can also observe the local flora and fauna.

This tour is for people who want to discover the volcanic side of Tenerife, enjoy mountain views and explore the island’s nature without a long, demanding hike.

The route leads through an extraordinary, almost lunar landscape, where you will see solidified lava flows, fantastic rock formations and sweeping views of the park. The mountain guide will explain the distinctive features of the local nature and tell you about the geological history of this unique area.

The tour runs every Thursday, and the guide leads it in English and Spanish. The whole trip, including transport, takes most of the day.
