Which dolphin cruise to choose
Pilot whales live off the south-west coast of Tenerife all year round, so you can go on a cruise in any month. Almost all the cruises we offer depart from Puerto Colón marina in Costa Adeje. They differ in boat size, time on the water and what you get on board.
For 2-3 hours
The shortest and cheapest is the Peter Pan pirate ship cruise, 2 hours, departing from Los Cristianos every day at 10:00, 12:00 and 14:00. The ship takes about 50 people and you feel the waves more than on a large catamaran. You buy drinks at the bar on board.
The large catamaran cruise lasts 3 hours. The price includes a snack, drinks, time for a swim in the ocean and transport from hotels in Costa Adeje, Las Américas and Los Cristianos. The crew also talks about the animals in Polish.
To the Los Gigantes cliffs
If you want to see the cliffs from the water, plan for half a day. The catamaran to the Los Gigantes cliffs departs at 13:15 and returns after 4.5 hours. There is lunch and an open bar on board, and on Tuesdays and Sundays a Polish-speaking guide usually sails with you.
The Shogun tall ship follows the same route in 5 hours. It is a wooden sailing ship that anchors below the cliffs for a swim and paella. Transport from the south of the island is included in both cruises. From Puerto de la Cruz you can join for an extra charge.
In a small group
Large boats carry several dozen people. If you prefer peace and quiet, choose one of the smaller ones.

A boat just for you
For a birthday, an anniversary or a trip with several families you can hire the whole boat. The sailing boat with a skipper and the private yacht take up to 12 people, and the VIP yacht up to 6 adults. Each of these cruises lasts 3 hours. We price longer routes separately, for example to Los Gigantes.
There is also an option without a crew, a licence-free motorboat for 5 people. You drive it yourself after a short briefing, and you only need to be 18 or over.

Cruises in Tenerife, questions and answers
The chances are high, because pilot whales and dolphins live off the Costa Adeje coast all year round. They are wild animals, so nobody can honestly promise a particular species on a given day.
A large catamaran. It is stable, rocks less than small boats and has room for a pushchair or baby carrier. On the catamaran to the Los Gigantes cliffs children up to 3 sail free, and those aged 4-11 pay half price. Older children love the pirate ship, but you feel the waves more on it.
On the catamaran to the Los Gigantes cliffs a Polish-speaking guide usually sails on Tuesdays and Sundays. On the large catamaran the crew also talks about the animals in Polish. On the VIP yacht for 6 people the skipper speaks English. For each cruise the crew’s language is given in the description.
For the large catamaran, the cruise to the Los Gigantes cliffs and the Shogun tall ship, transport from hotels in Costa Adeje, Las Américas and Los Cristianos is free. The pirate ship only picks up from hotels for the 12:00 cruise. For the small boats and the yacht with a slide you get to Puerto Colón on your own, which is a few minutes by taxi from hotels in Costa Adeje.
