To Teide by coach, by cable car or at sunset
Teide is 3,718 m high and stands in the middle of the island, in the National Park. You can get there by coach with a Polish-speaking guide, ride the cable car, climb to the very summit or stay into the night for stargazing. The choice depends on where you are staying and how high you want to go.
By coach with a Polish-speaking guide
Teide National Park and volcano is a full-day tour from the south of the island on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Along the way there are stops in Vilaflor, at the Pino Gordo pine and at Narices del Teide.
If you want to see Teide and Masca village in one day, choose Teide and Masca in 1 day. You travel in a minibus for up to 19 people, and a Canarian lunch with a wine tasting is included. From the north of the island, Teide and Masca from Puerto de la Cruz follows the same route on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
By cable car and to the summit
The cable car goes up to 3,555 m, just below the summit. On coach tours you add it in the booking form. To reach the crater itself you need a National Park permit. We arrange it as part of the Teide summit climb with a cable car ride, where you ride up to 3,555 m and walk to the summit with a guide.
Sunset and stars
Evening tours combine a sunset above the clouds with stargazing through a telescope. In Polish we run stargazing with dinner, about 5 hours with transport from the south, dinner and a telescope.
In English there is the night tour to Teide, the observatory visit with stargazing and the sunset with a cable car ride. Got a car? Then stargazing with your own transport is enough, also available with dinner.
By quad, buggy or Harley
You can also drive yourself up to about 2,000 m. We describe the routes and requirements on the quads and buggies page. Motorcyclists can choose a guided Harley tour.
FAQ
Teide tours, questions and answers
Yes. The tours in Polish are Teide National Park and volcano from the south (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays), Teide and Masca in 1 day from the south, and Teide and Masca from Puerto de la Cruz (Wednesdays and Saturdays). We also run stargazing with dinner in Polish. The summit climb and the observatory tours are led by English-speaking guides.
Not on the coach tours. You add the cable car in the booking form, €49 per adult and €24.50 per child aged 3-11. If the weather prevents the ride, we refund 100% of the ticket price. The cable car is included in the summit climb and in the sunset with a cable car ride.
Yes, but you need a National Park permit. It is granted a few days after booking, so your final confirmation arrives with a delay. If the permit is not granted, we offer another date or refund the full amount.
By coach, yes. Children under 3 cannot ride the cable car. The summit climb is for people aged 6 and over, and the night stargazing tours run in English are from age 8. We also do not recommend the cable car or the summit climb for pregnant women or people with heart conditions.
Dress more warmly than the beach weather suggests. It is noticeably colder in the mountains than on the coast, and after dark at 2,000 m the temperature in winter is between 2 and 10 degrees. Bring a sweatshirt or jacket and closed shoes. You will not be let on the sunset tour with a cable car ride in sandals or shorts.
The coach tour with a Polish-speaking guide costs from €67, Teide and Masca from Puerto de la Cruz €80, and the minibus for 19 people with lunch €145. Stargazing starts at €50 with your own transport, and €85 with dinner and transport. The summit climb with the cable car costs €178. You can see the current price on the card of each tour above.
Yes. Do not book a dive within 36 hours before or after a trip up Teide.
